Targeted new schemes and enhancements to existing ones have been introduced.

FOR small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), gaining a foothold on the global stage is often seen as the epitome of success. Yet, dipping that first toe into international waters can be daunting, with financial risks in the form of set-up costs and a lack of market familiarity often cited as barriers.
Government fiscal assistance has been helpful in enabling SMEs to internationalise. SMEs have long been at the receiving end of generous tax incentives and other forms of support. In addition, earlier this year, targeted new schemes and enhancements to existing ones were introduced.
