Lee Kuan Yew's younger children seek all rights in oral history suit

THE two younger children of the late former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew are taking the government to court to seek all legal rights to transcripts of oral history interviews done with Mr Lee.

The originating summons, obtained by The Business Times from the High Court, said the application by the siblings - Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hsien Yang, who are the executors and trustees of their father's estate - is to entitle them to use and have copies of the tape recordings and transcripts. The estate is also requesting the court to order that there shall be no access or use of the transcripts by anyone until March 23, 2020 without its "express written permission".
