A really good Day on the greens
Jason Day has had a stunning 2015, rising to No 1 in the golfing world.
THEY share not only the same primary initial of their first name, but have both etched their names into the golfing history books this year. Jordan Spieth and Jason Day have had a season to remember winning multiple times and both rising to No 1 in the world.
American Spieth has won four times on the tour this year including two majors, the Masters and the US Open - lifting the US Open trophy made the then 21-year-old the youngest US Open winner since Bobby Jones in 1923.
Spieth was a serious contender for all four majors this year, but missed a playoff at the Open Championship in July and finished second at the recent PGA Championship. Add to that 14 Top 10s with four of them second-place finishes and one a third place showing and it was an exceptional year for the young Texan.
