INTERNATIONAL premium travel picked up in April by expanding 4.9 per cent year on year, up from 4.6 per cent in March, although the growth trend remains fragile, according to the International Air Transport Association (Iata).

The accelerated pace of growth in April doesn't necessary mean a sustainable uptick, given slowing global economic growth in May for the second consecutive month, noted the airline association. Premium international air travel volumes have been generally flat since August last year.
