PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong's doctors have given him the all-clear on prostate cancer, two months after he underwent surgery to remove his prostate gland. After the results of a follow-up blood test two weeks ago turned out well, Mr Lee was informed that his survival rate was 98 per cent after 15 years.

"(The doctors) are very precise. They never say you are completely out of the woods. What this means is, 15 years from now, my chances of dying because of prostate cancer are just 2 per cent," he said at the May Day Rally on Friday. "It's not bad - you can go to the bookies with that," he quipped, causing the 4,000-strong audience to break into laughter.
