MDR and Pixio expand in Myanmar with new large-format printing business
MDR Limited, which distributes and retails telecommunication devices and services, announced on Tuesday the setting up of a large-format digital inkjet printing business in Myanmar with its wholly owned subsidiary Pixio, an outdoor advertising firm.
The new entity Pixio Myanmar Co, to be based in Yangon, will provide graphic design solutions and large-format digital inkjet production for out-of-home and retail advertisements and promotional signages in Myanmar.
Pixio Myanmar is Pixio's first expansion beyond Malaysia, and MDR's second in Myanmar. MDR had entered the country in 2013 to provide after-market service for Nokia products.
Pixio Myanmar's managing director Robert Wong sees many new opportunities in the country. Also, with many large, international brands entering Myanmar, there has been a demand for large-format, high-quality signages and billboards, Mr Wong said.
