IDA pushes for energy-efficient data centres
To look for solutions, it will work with industry players, direct and fund R&D and pilot new technologies

TO make Singapore's data-centre industry more energy-efficient - and hence, more competitive - the government on Monday launched a green data centre innovation programme (GDCIP).
Under this, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has secured collaborations with Dell, Hewlett Packard, Huawei and IBM to prototype short- and long-term solutions to help data centres use energy more efficiently.
