Consolidation ratio is board's decision: SGX
I REFER to the letter "SGX, put a stop to excessive share consolidation ratios" (BT, May 12, 2015).
I would like to thank Mr Sabnani for his support of the minimum trading price (MTP) initiative, which is aimed at reducing excessive speculation and improving the stock market.
A decision on whether a company should consolidate its shares, at what ratio, or transfer to Catalist, in order to comply with the minimum trading price requirement is a board and shareholder decision taking into consideration the company's interests.
