Hong Kong shares rally, Shanghai surges
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong equities ended 0.37 per cent higher on Tuesday, tracking a strong rally in Shanghai and following another record close in New York.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 102.29 points to end at 27,693.54 on turnover of HK$136.03 billion (S$23.4 billion).
In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index surged 3.13 per cent, or 134.06 points, to 4,417.55.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 2.63 per cent, or 65.83 points, to 2,567.29.
