Singapore Windsor secures Europcar master franchise in Myanmar
SINGAPORE Windsor Holdings' wholly-owned subsidiary, SMI Auto Services, has been appointed the sole country franchisee in Myanmar by Europcar International.
The five-year franchise agreement grants SMI Auto the exclusive right to use Europcar's brand in the provision of vehicle rental and limousine services throughout Myanmar, from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2020.
The deal is renewable for a further five years, if there is mutual agreement between the two parties.
The company said that this car-hire business initiative is part of its strategy of developing businesses with high growth potential in Myanmar.
Singapore Windsor's shares closed flat at 41 Singapore cents each on Wednesday, before the announcement.
