STAGNANT securities turnover lies in the shadow of the Singapore Exchange's (SGX) growing mountain of derivatives.
The average daily value of traded securities was S$1.14 billion in March, a 0.2 per cent year-on-year decline that was practically flat, according to the latest number from SGX. In fact, securities daily average value (SDAV) has been effectively flat for the past 2.5 years.
