US$ up again on positive US data, China rate cut

THE US dollar extended its gains in Asia on Monday as better-than-expected revised US growth data and an interest rate cut by China's central bank boosted confidence, analysts said.
In Tokyo, the US dollar fetched 119.85 yen, against 119.63 yen in New York and well up from 119.17 yen in Tokyo earlier on Friday. The euro was mixed at US$1.1179 and 134.00 yen from US$1.1195 and 133.93 yen in US trade.
