United Envirotech to invest 300m yuan to build wastewater treatment plant in China
UNITED Envirotech Ltd said it plans to invest 300 million yuan (S$66.7 million) to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant in Luntai County, a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The construction of the 100,000 cubic metre per day plant - which will use the company's advanced membrane bioreactor technology - will be in two phases of 50,000 m3/day each. The total investment for the first phase and the associated piping network is estimated to be around 300 million yuan.
The plant will serve the 72 square kilometre petrochemical industrial park in the area.
The project will be funded by internal resources, proceeds from the earlier bond issue and bank financing. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
