Market shutdown report to be submitted end-March
THE Singapore Exchange (SGX) said independent directors who are carrying out an inquiry into a Nov 5 market shutdown expect to submit their report to the Monetary Authority of Singapore by the end of March. The committee, which comprises directors Quah Wee Ghee, Chew Choon Seng, Kevin Kwok and Lee Hsien Yang, has also appointed independent experts to help the investigation. The external experts are Environmental Systems Design for technical issues; IBM for operational management issues; and Edelman for communication issues. Work by those independent parties began in December.
