American Eagle Outfitters banking on its canine collection to boost sales

AMERICAN Eagle Outfitters, the teen retailer struggling to sell clothes to human customers, is targeting a different species this holiday season: the dog.
The company is releasing a clothing line for dogs called American Beagle Outfitters, capitalising on an April Fools' Day joke that many customers wanted to be real. The items, which include knit sweaters, puffer jackets and hats for dogs, will be available tomorrow, according to a statement.
