Being able to showcase talents

IT won't be a variety show, but a host of "differently abled" performers will showcase their talents this Saturday in the original musical, A Nation In Concert 2014: A Wetlands Adventure.

"The challenge was to weave a narrative around their various talents so that it's not just a variety show," promises director Jonathan Lim, well known for his popular comedy sketch show Chestnuts.

To do this, Lim and playwright Desmond Sim went to the different participating organisations to watch them perform, and then came up with a story about a community trying to put up a concert. Nothing like borrowing from real life for a stage drama, right?
