Mizuno launches concept store
KALLANG Wave Mall at Singapore Sports Hub got a touch of Japanese flavour on Nov 6 when Mizuno Singapore and VGO Corporation launched South-east Asia's first Mizuno Concept Store Singapore.
Inspired by a traditional Japanese kimono house and Japanese cultural elements such as a classic wood design in addition to traditional handmade paper, the store incorporates strong Japanese nuances from store layout to window display.
As to why Singapore was chosen for its first concept store in the region, Mizuno's Gabriel Lee says: "One of our objectives of setting up an office in Singapore is to grow and accelerate our business and especially to rebuild the brand in the Asean region. In order to achieve it, we have in our mind to make Singapore the showcase in the region."
