Taking heart
Care Corner Jubilee Fund
PRESCHOOLERS from Preschool for Multiple Intelligence (PMI) in Newton and Kembangan have pitched their art, baking, and craft skills to raise money for the Jubilee fund initiative by voluntary welfare organisation Care Corner. In addition to a carnival, fund-raising dinner and art auction, teachers and staff from the two PMI preschools have pledged to give a day of their wages, amounting to about S$4,000. The children at PMI hope to sell the rest of their artwork and crafts and reach the total target amount of S$50,000 for the Jubilee Fund. Care Corner seeks to raise S$1 million by 2015, to mark Singapore's 50th anniversary.
