Ireland's annual home prices up 15%

IRELAND'S residential property prices at a national level increased by 15 per cent in the year to September, according to official figures on Wednesday. This compares with an increase of 14.9 per cent in August and an increase of 3.6 per cent in the 12 months to September 2013, the Central Statistics Office said. Residential property prices rose by 1.8 per cent in September compared with 2.3 per cent in August and an increase of 1.8 per cent in September of last year.
In Dublin, residential property prices grew by 2.5 per cent in September and were 23.4 per cent higher than a year earlier. Dublin house prices rose by 2.4 per cent in the month and were 22.6 per cent higher compared to a year earlier. Dublin apartment prices were 35.2 per cent higher when compared with the same month of 2013.
