Singapore: Shares close the day higher

Singapore shares soared on Thursday with the benchmark Straits Times Index up 33.76 points to close at 3,236.50.
Volume was 1.30 billion shares worth S$1.10 billion.
Gainers outnumbered losers 274 to 138.
