WHEN Parliament next sits on Monday, its members will be asking about Singapore Airlines' (SIA) flight paths over conflict zones, in the wake of last month's Malaysian Airlines MH17 tragedy. Six MPs have filed questions on the issue for Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew.

The 298 people on board MH17 died on July 17, after the plane was believed to have been shot down over Ukraine by pro-Russian separatists. It was also reported that a Singapore Airlines plane was within 25 km of MH17 at the moment of the crash near the Russian border in Ukraine.
