[SINGAPORE] Activity in space is hotting up, and Singapore wants to stay abreast of the action.
The global space economy shot past US$314 billion last year, translating to an average growth rate of 6.5 per cent a year for the past five years, noted Minister in the Prime Minister's Office S. Iswaran yesterday.
The minister, concurrently the Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade and Industry, was at the opening of ST Electronics's new Satellite Systems Centre, a high-tech facility kitted out to support the full cycle of satellite design and development.
