Staying true to themselves
IN the music industry, you're lucky if you have a career that lasts five years, much less 10. But next year, Norwegian-Irish duo Secret Garden will celebrate their 20th year in the business.
The secret to their longevity?
"We stay true to ourselves," says pianist and composer Rolf Lovland. "It's hard because people are always trying to tell you what you should sound like. Of course, there is a natural progression over our nine albums, but we have not tried to change our sound. We're also very lucky to have a great group of fans who stick by us."
