Out: the collected works of that Army Daze guy
THREE decades. Ten plays. What else can "king of comedy" and playwright Michael Chiang of Army Daze fame do to add to his repertoire? How about an anthology of his complete works so you never have to read them separately again?
On Oct 1, the 59-year-old will launch the aptly titled Play Things, warning that "despite the lightweight comedy, it's a heavy book", before adding: "But at 400 pages, you'll get your money's worth!"
And no wonder - the book will feature all the scripts that have made his name over the years, including classics such as Beauty World and Private Parts, which have seen several sellout revivals. And, of course, his biggest hit, Army Daze - which cast much dreaded National Service in a humorous light.
