Search for MH370 leaves KL in jurisdictional tangles

[KUALA LUMPUR] The Malaysia Airlines crash investigation is shaping up as the most challenging in history due to jurisdictional tangles and a lack of evidence so far, and any answers could take years to emerge.

In the ongoing search for flight MH370, a Thai satellite has detected 300 floating objects in the southern Indian Ocean.Thailand's Geo Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISDA) said that the objects were spotted around 2,700 km south-west of Perth by the satellite Thaichote on March 24. Anond Snidvongs, executive director of GISDA, said that the images have been sent to the Malaysian authorities.

Malaysia has little experience in aviation probes, let alone one as perplexing as the case of flight MH370, which is presumed to have crashed far from Malaysian shores somewhere in the vast and inhospitable southern Indian Ocean.
