Jaya's Q1 net profit falls 24% to US$7.6m

JAYA Holdings yesterday posted a 24 per cent fall in first-quarter net profit to US$7.6 million from a year ago.
Excluding non-recurring items and gain from a vessel sale, the quarter's net profit was 15 per cent higher than that of the previous corresponding quarter, it said.
The period saw the delivery of two vessels and better utilisation of its existing fleet.
