Hong Kong: Stocks start week with gains
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rose on Monday along with most Asian markets following last week's solid US jobs data and Emmanuel Macron's victory in the French election over anti-EU rival Marine Le Pen.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.41 per cent, or 101.56 points, to close at 24,577.91.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.79 per cent, or 24.43 points, to 3,078.61. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, tumbled 1.99 per cent, or 37.20 points, to 1,835.59.
