Job availability in Japan at highest level in four decades: report

THE number of jobs available for workers in Japan hit a 43-year high in April, rising to 148 for every 100 workers, as labour market conditions continued to tighten, data released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications showed.
At the same time, the nation's unemployment rate remained at a multi-year low level of 2.8 per cent, where it is one of the lowest among advanced economies.
