Hot stock: ST Engineering jumps 5% in trading on Thursday morning, prompting SGX query
SHARES in ST Engineering shot up to an intra-day high of S$3.22 on Thursday morning, prompting a query from the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
At 12.07 pm, the counter was trading at S$3.19, up 13 cents, with 3.52 million shares having changed hands. It was also among the top five gainers on the Exchange.
The stock was outperforming the market with the Straits Times Index down 0.52 per cent at 2,758.62.
In a release to ST Engineering issued just before noon, SGX flagged the unusual price movements and asked the group if it knew of any information which could explain the trading.
