MALAYSIA will start a near four-week nationwide lockdown on Wednesday - the eve of Hari Raya Puasa - as the embattled government seeks to contain Covid-19 infection rates that have climbed faster than official projections.
The entire country will be placed under the Movement Control Order (MCO) from May 12 to June 7, said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in a statement on Monday.
