Thailand-made AstraZeneca vaccine to make its debut in June
Bangkok
THAILAND'S long-awaited, domestically-manufactured AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine is set to make its debut in June, but with scant details and some confusion surrounding the local production deal, few expect a smooth and transparent rollout of the life-saving drug.
"AstraZeneca's plans to produce its Covid-19 vaccine in Thailand has made significant progress. (The) first batch of the vaccine will be ready for delivery to the Thai government in June this year," said the UK-based multinational pharmaceutical company in a statement issued to The Business Times.
