IPS-SBF Conference “Global-City Singapore: SG60 and Beyond” organised by the
Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) 
on July 29, 2025 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
 
The conference, comprising three plenary sessions, is expected to see 1200 top-level 
representatives from industry, government and business sectors as they come together to analyse and 
deliberate on the interaction of mega-trends that are currently reshaping the global economy. 
As Singapore marks SG60 this year, the conference will also engage in bold thinking on Singapore’s 
economic competitiveness in a shifting global landscape as we recommit to a sustainable, inclusive and 
innovative future for Singapore.

Starting off with the opening remarks by Mr Teo Siong Seng, Chairman of Singapore Business Federation
and a dialogue with Mr Lawrence Wong Prime Minister and Minister for Finance moderated by 
IPS Director Janadas Devan. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong 
will participate in the closing dialogue at the conference.
