AIA appoints group chief risk officer, Singapore CEO
THE chief executive of AIA Singapore, Tan Hak Leh, has been appointed group chief risk officer of AIA Group from Sept 1. Patrick Teow will take over as CEO of AIA Singapore from Sept 1.
Mr Teow, who has over 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, joined AIA in 2013 as chief executive officer of its group agency distribution business.
Ng Keng Hooi, regional chief executive of AIA Group, said: "Since joining AIA Singapore in June 2011, Hak Leh has done a fantastic job in leading AIA's successful growth in Singapore and further enhancing its reputation in the market."
Mr Tan, who will become a member of AIA's group executive committee, will relocate to Hong Kong for his new role.
Mr Ng added: "Patrick has played a very important role in leading the transformation of our agency business across all our markets, building a strong team to drive and embed our premier agency strategy across the whole group."
