ANZ, NAB sit atop of dwindling Australian bank dividends: Chart

[SYDNEY] Dividends are one reason why banks are the worst-performing stocks in Australia this year.
Payouts to shareholders are taking a hit amid lower loan margins and more regulatory scrutiny on mortgages and capital requirements. Australia & New Zealand Banking Group cut its dividend in May, and analysts project National Australia Bank will lower its payments as well.
