DBS looks to fill 150 more tech job openings through Hack2Hire programme
DBS on Monday said it plans to hire around 150 technology talent through its Hack2Hire programme, now on its fourth edition after a one-year hiatus.
This is on top of the 140 job openings previously announced in May 2021 during the bank's virtual career fair DBS Women in Tech for female technologists in Singapore.
Virtual hackathon Hack2Hire aims to fill positions across 14 developer and engineering roles as DBS looks to scale up its use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and blockchain technologies. Successful candidates will be invited for a final interview during the event.
DBS group head of big data/AI and consumer banking technology Soh Siew Choo said the bank is "deeply absorbed" in leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain to deliver intelligent, intuitive and invisible banking services.
"With Covid-19 greatly accelerating the pace of digital adoption, it is now more important than ever to ensure that our digital offerings continue to stay ahead of our customers' needs," she said.
