Emerging-market investors in for another rocky year, says IIF

PORTFOLIO investors in emerging markets (EMs) experienced a rough ride last year, and this year is expected to be another stressful year, with factors such as the possibility of faster-than-expected tightening by the US Federal Reserve, plunging oil prices and slowing EM growth creating global uncertainty.
This is the sobering scenario painted by the Washington-based Institute of International Finance (IIF) in its Report on Capital Flows to Emerging Markets published on Thursday.
