HSBC ropes in Jackson Tai, former CEO of DBS Bank, to its board

HSBC has roped in Jackson Tai, a veteran banker with "deep knowledge of Asia and China" and a former chief executive officer of Singapore's DBS Bank, to its board, according to The New York Times.

Mr Tai, 66, who was also DBS' former vice chairman, would join its board as an independent non-executive director, effective Monday.

Mr Tai is a former JPMorgan Chase investment banker who served as chairman for the Asia-Pacific region before joining DBS.

Meanwhile, Spencer Lake, HSBC's vice chairman of global banking and markets, is leaving the bank after 10 years,
