In search of growth, Goldman Sachs turns to debt

GOLDMAN Sachs Group Inc is hosting its first ever leveraged finance conference next week as the Wall Street bank tries to strengthen its position in debt underwriting and looks for new avenues of growth.
The event is a key step for Goldman as it tries to convince clients to turn to it for debt financing rather than bigger competitors like JPMorgan Chase & Co, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
