Lawyer regulates banking industry he spent his career protecting

A LAWYER who spent much of his career protecting banks in the United States is now in charge of regulating them.
And the appointment of the lawyer, Keith Noreika, earlier this month to run the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is unusual because it does not require him to sign the ethics pledge that President Donald Trump is forcing on other appointees.
