OCBC appoints its head of group operations and technology as new COO
OCBC on Thursday said it has appointed the bank's head of group operations and technology Lim Khiang Tong as the bank's group chief operating officer (COO), to drive and accelerate transformation.
Mr Lim, 59, will be appointed group COO with effect from June 21, 2021, and report to group CEO Helen Wong.
In a press statement, Ms Wong said: "It is strategically important to continue to establish OCBC as a leading digitally-empowered financial services group in an evolving business environment."
Mr Lim is thus appointed to this new role to drive the bank's "next phase of change and transformation", OCBC said. The bank said it is a new role.
Mr Lim said the COO will build on the bank's "strong track record of innovations and transformation" to bring about solutions and customer journeys that meet the changing needs of individuals and businesses.
