Prudential Singapore names new chief

INSURER Prudential Assurance Company Singapore has named a new chief to steer the company - the latest in a series of global leadership movements since the departure of group chief executive Tidjane Thiam.
Long-timer Philip Seah, 60, had risen through the ranks to take over the reins from Tomas Urbanec as of Thursday, subject to regulatory approval. Mr Urbanec, who was with Prudential for seven years in various capacity, had served as CEO since January 2013.
