Senior StanChart executive resigns to set up private equity firm

ANOTHER of Standard Chartered's senior global executives is leaving the bank.
V Shankar, group executive director and chief executive officer of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas, has resigned to set up a private equity fund.
The India-born Singaporean will leave the bank on April 30 after 13 years, but will serve out his gardening leave till the end of September.
