NO sooty flames scorch cylinder walls in this speedy machine, for it runs on electrons instead of hydrocarbons. That worked nicely for the Taycan, which was an instant hit for Porsche, so it bodes well for the Taycan Cross Turismo, essentially the same car in wagon form and on tippy toes.

Three versions have gone on sale in Singapore, and the Taycan 4S is the middle one in terms of price and performance. Budget Day's luxury car tax hike will have added roughly S$25,000 to the price tag, taking it to an estimated S$520,000 without certificate of entitlement, so no one will ever accuse these of being cheap, but then the 4S Cross Turismo comes perilously close to being everything you could want in a car, electric or otherwise.
