26 SMRT trains to be repaired in China
Train operator responds to online report that defective trains had been quietly shipped back

MORE than two dozen SMRT trains with cracks in them will be repaired by their Chinese manufacturer, SMRT said in a statement on Tuesday.
Singapore's main rail operator disclosed this in response to an online report which claimed that the defective trains were quietly shipped back to the manufacturer's Qingdao factory last month.
