32 director acquisitions filed and 11 stocks conduct buybacks
FOR the five trading sessions from March 29 to April 4, the STI gained 3.5 per cent, outpacing regional indices, the Nikkei 225 Index, Hang Seng Index and S&P/ASX 200, which averaged a 2.5 per cent gain. This has brought the STI's 2019 total return through to April 4 to 8.5 per cent.
Share buybacks
There were 11 primary-listed stocks conducting share buybacks over the five sessions ending April 4. The consideration totalled S$11.9 million, similar to the S$11 million for each of the preceding two sessions. Buyback consideration was again led by Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation and Hong Fok Corporation, with Stamford Land Corporation, Global Investments and Kimly making up the remainder of top five by buyback consideration.
