OCBC Bank is still "actively chatting" with potential partners as it mulls a digital banking licence in Singapore to grow its digital customer base, said the bank's chief operating officer Ching Wei Hong at a media briefing on Thursday.
The lender is expecting 6 out of 10 customers to be digital customers before 2023. The push towards digital transformation is critical, as fresh figures show that digital customers are a bigger boost to OCBC's bottom line, compared with their non-digital peers.
