Accenture appoints new country managing director for Singapore
GLOBAL IT services and consulting firm Accenture has appointed Mark Tham as its country managing director for Singapore.
Tham will be in charge of leading Accenture’s business in Singapore. He was previously the health and public services lead for South-east Asia, working with clients including public service organisations in Australia, Brunei, Vietnam and Singapore.
He is taking over from Ng Wee Wei, who was country managing director from September 2020 until February 2023, when she took on the role of Accenture’s South-east Asia market unit lead.
Ng has been with Accenture since 1995 and has worked on government projects such as whole-of-government Workday implementation, the National Service portal and National Digital Identity.
“(Mark’s) unwavering passion for helping our clients, as well as his deep care for our people and communities, makes it certain that he will take Accenture in Singapore to new heights,” Ng said.
“I look forward to working with Mark, and the rest of the country leadership teams in South-east Asia,” she added.
“Wee Wei ... has grown the Singapore firm from strength to strength in the last three years,” Tham said.
“Looking ahead, I’m excited to grow the next generation of Accenture leaders and deepen our partnerships with clients to reinvent their organisations and drive their business growth. Together, we can propel a smarter, more sustainable and inclusive future for Singapore,” he added.
