MOBILE satellite communications company Addvalue Technologies on Tuesday (Oct 25) announced that it has secured initial orders totalling US$1.1 million for the supply of its proprietary reconfigurable wireless component.
These orders were secured by the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Addvalue Innovation, and are mostly expected to be fulfilled within the current financial year.
Addvalue Technologies’ proprietary reconfigurable wireless component, or System-on-Module hardware, was jointly developed by its subsidiary Addvalue Innovation and electronics distributor Avnet. It was rolled out in Sep 2022 and designed for the counter drone market, said Addvalue Technologies in an earlier press statement.
The mainboard-listed company added that the component – which incorporates the latest carrier board developed by semiconductor designer Advanced Micro Devices Inc – is smaller, lighter and consumes less power than other radio or radar systems, making it suitable for “even the most demanding” digital processing work required in radio applications.
Shares of Addvalue Technologies closed flat on Friday at S$0.012, before the news.
