Advanced Group's MD wins EY Entrepreneur Of The Year in Singapore

MANAGING director of Advanced Group of Companies, Dr Kar Wong, was named the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2014 Singapore at the 13th EY EOY awards on Tuesday night.
As the overall winner for Singapore, Dr Wong will go on to represent the nation at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year next year in Monaco, where over 60 other country winners will vie for the world title.
Other winners included chief executive of Greenpac, Susan Chong, who won EY Entrepreneur Of The Year for sustainable packaging solutions, while ONG&ONG's group executive chairman, Ong Tze Boon, landed the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year award for professional services. For food and beverage, managing director of The Wok People, Alfred Chua, was EY Entrepreneur Of The Year while Dr Wong also won EY Entrepreneur Of The Year for engineering services and process equipment.
Meanwhile, B P De Silva Holdings also received the EY-Barclays Family Business Award of Excellence.
Grace Fu, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, was the guest-of-honour at the event which was held at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore.
