AEM appoints Kwek You-Cheer as new CFO
He has more than 20 years of experience in strategic financial leadership and operations internationally
AEM announced on Thursday (Jan 2) that Kwek You-Cheer, 48, will assume the role of the group’s chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Kwek joins AEM from Lenovo’s Asia Pacific Infrastructure Solutions Group, where he served as CFO. Prior to this, he was CFO at Microsoft Hong Kong, and held a variety of finance roles over a decade at energy equipment and solutions provider Schneider Electric.
He has more than 20 years of experience in strategic financial leadership and operations internationally.
Amy Leong, chief executive officer of AEM, said: “We... believe (Mr Kwek’s) experience and knowledge will be an invaluable asset to the team in helping us achieve robust growth with a focus on improved operational efficiency.”
As at 9.17 am on Thursday, shares of AEM were trading 0.7 per cent or S$0.01 higher at S$1.45.
